Research on New Digital Indoor Distribution System for 5G

With the rapid development of mobile communication technique and the widespread popularization of mobile terminals, the data flow of mobile communication network is growing explosively. According to statistics from the International Telecommunication Union, more than 70% of data traffic occurs indoors, which is expected to be further increased in 5G. Therefore, indoor coverage becomes crucial to operators. This paper introduces the next generation digital indoor distribution system from three aspects. Firstly, we analyze the limitations of the traditional indoor distribution system. Then, a new type of digital indoor distribution technology is introduced in detail. Finally, the advantages of digital indoor distribution system are analyzed with some concrete examples.
