摘要

•Complexes of Zn and Cd halides with 1,8-diaminonaphthalene were synthesized.•A liquid/liquid diffusion method was applied to obtain single crystals.•XRPD patterns and IR spectra showed that the compounds are isostructural.•The materials have layered structures.•The studied samples are thermally stable up to 175 – 225 °C.
