摘要
Wireless power transfer (WPT) is emerging as a critical powering technology for implantable medical devices. In this paper, the inductive power transfer (IPT) technique is adopted to power the ultraviolet (UV) LED, which is mounted in the dental implant. To overcome the challenge of embedding the receiver, including receiving coil and UV-LED load into a small dental implant, a 3D-printing-coil-based receiver is proposed. Due to the diode characteristics of UV LED, the UV-LED load also functions as a rectifier, and an equivalent circuit of the UV LED is proposed in this paper. A prototype was built to demonstrate the analysis. The UV LED can be lit on with 10-cm distance. And the thermal picture of the receiver and dental implant indicates the temperature increases are low and acceptable.
