摘要
•Graphitic carbon was formed from amorphous biowaste.•This conversion took place with the use of Fe-catalyzed synthesis.•Biowaste-derived composites possess high adsorption and magnetic properties.•A synergistic adsorption of p-nitrophenol and Cu(II) was found.•The spent magnetic composites are easily recovered, regenerated and reused.
