摘要

•The non-radical activation of nano-CaO2 was achieved by MgNCN/MgO composites.•The CaO2-MgNCN/MgO system could remove organic and heavy metal pollutants.•The generated singlet oxygen (1O2) was mainly responsible for organics degradation.•This AOP system had high adaptabilities towards solution pH and water sources.•The coordination between MgNCN and MgO activated nano-CaO2 to give 1O2.
