Utility and feasibility of a low-cost system to simulate clipping strategy for cerebral aneurysms using 3D CTA with virtual craniotomy.

In our experience the use of 3D-CTA with virtual craniotomy is an easy and useful solution to plan clipping strategy. It provides the surgeon better awareness of the surgical anatomy; although has some technical limitations represents a low-cost alternative if complex and expensive simulation systems are not available.
