Impurity Effect on Thermal Properties of Tuned Quantum Dot/ring Systems

In this work, the thermal functions of tuned quantum dot/ring systems have been theoretically studied under an external magnetic field. To this end, the Schro center dot dinger equation is analytically solved without and with the im-purity effect. The heat capacity, free energy, entropy, mean energy, and Gibbs free energy of the tuned quantum dot/ring system with and without the impurity effect have been calculated calculated. We found that the presence of the impurity effect causes a peak structure in the specific heat, entropy, and mean energy of the system. At high temperatures, the Gibbs free energy with the impurity effect has higher values than without it the impurity. It is also deduced that the impurity effect has a key role in the thermal functions of the system.
