In vitro and vivo application of a rhodanine-based fluorescence sensor for detection and bioimaging of In3+ at neutral pH

摘要
•A rhodanine-based fluorescence chemosensor HTO was prepared for detecting In3+.•HTO could detect In3+ with fluorescence turn-on at neutral pH in a near-perfect water.•Sensing behavior of HTO to In3+ was demonstrated by using photophysical experiments and theoretical calculations.•HTO was successfully applied to detect In3+ in vitro system and in vivo system.
