ID:15799 Peripheral Nerve Stimulation for Meralgia Paresthetica: A Case Series
Neuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface(2022)
摘要
Meralgia paresthetica is a neuropathic pain diagnosis manifested by dysesthesia in the anterolateral thigh and often caused by compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN). Etiologies include spontaneous or iatrogenic causes such as endocrinopathies, obesity, pregnancy, tight belts or clothing and surgical interventions (e.g. hip arthroplasty). Patient education to address reversible causes is the mainstay initial treatment. We herein present serial application of PNS for meralgia paresthetica.
