摘要
We use the natural adsorption and in-siu chemical conversion of ZrB2-polycarbosilane mixed slurry to construct ZrB2-SiC coating on the surface of Cf/ZrC-SiC composite, which achieved nearly zero ablation under 1800 °C holding over 300 s. The final three oxide layers of dense glassy SiO2/sintered SiO2-ZrO2/particle stacked ZrO2, which are transformed from the ZrB2-SiC coating in the condition of high temperature oxidation, play decisive effect of providing stable anti-ablation protection to the matrix. This brand-new strategy of preparing surface coating is faster and more low-cost compared with other traditional methods. Moreover, it is not restricted by ceramic component or matrix with promising prospects and designability, which could be extended to surface modification of C/C, C/SiC, graphite, and high-temperature metal materials.
