Design, Synthesis and Cytotoxicity Evaluation of N-Amide Derivatives of Indole-benzimidazole-Isoxazole

A series of new amide derivatives of indole-benzimidazole-isoxazole (10a-j) have been synthesized. All compounds synthesized were tested for their in vitro anticancer activity against four human cancer cell lines A549 (lung cancer), MCF-7 (breast cancer), PC3& DU-145 (prostate cancer) by MTT assay. The therapeutic agent as etoposide used as positive control and was showed IC50 values. Most of the tested compounds showed moderate to good activities. Among them, compounds 10a, 10b, 10c, 10i and 10j exhibited good activity as positive control.
