Non-Asymptotic Component Product Streams Estimation for a Two-Stage Chemical Reactor with Delayed Recycle Streams

In this paper, a non-asymptotic and robust component product streams estimation is studied for a two-stage chemical reactor with delayed recycle streams. By introducing the delay operator, a linear time-delay system model can be established from the mass balance equations of the considered reactor. The model is transformed into an observable canonical form by means of a bicausal generalized change of coordinates. On this basis, the modulating functions method is applied to estimate the state of the canonical system. Then, algebraic integral formulas for the state of the original time-delay system are exactly derived. Finally, a numerical simulation is provided to demonstrate the efficiency and the robustness against noises of the proposed estimator.
