Surface deformation monitoring in Dongchuan urban area between 2018-2020 based on PS-InSAR

Dongchuan urban area is located in the Xiaojiang fault zone, the world-class geological disaster-prone area. In this thesis, 34 scenes of Sentinel-1A radar images were used to obtained the surface deformation rate and cumulative deformation results of Dongchuan urban area from March 2018 to December 2020 by PS-InSAR technology. The surface deformation results obtained by the PS-InSAR technology are consistent with the data observed by the GNSS reference station in the Dongchuan urban area. The results show that the main urban area of Dongchuan is in a uniform subsidence state as a whole, with the annual average deformation rate varies from -10 to 5mm / year, and the urban settlement mostly occurs in the dense area of high-rise buildings. Four abnormal deformation rate areas are distributed in the study area. Combined with historical remote sensing images analysis, construction, road or park construction is found, and the surface deformation in abnormal areas may be caused by engineering construction.
