Migrating towards Single Sign-On and Federated Identity

BSTRACT This paper describes a two-tier architecture and implementation for single sign-on (SSO) federated identity support in Chameleon and the rationale that shaped it. We also describe how we migrated our users to a new account management system in privacy-preserving ways, a community that numbered in several thousand users and had created hundreds of thousands of digital artifacts.
