Higher wear-resistant surfacing at high temperatures using a hybrid cladding process

摘要
•To improve wear resistance of metallic parts at high temperature, we proposed a novel hybrid cladding method.•This method can overcome the limitations of conventional surface treatment processes limited to hardening at the skin zone.•Moreover, it is possible to control the internal mechanical properties of cladded layers to obtain a target performance.•From the high temperature wear test, the wear resistance was improved by 25.4 % and 14.4 % at 200 and 400 °C, respectively.
