摘要
This paper proposes and implements a DC current driving technology for induction motors based on the principle of magnetomotive force combination. The scheme of induction motors driven by DC current source maintains the key merits of their counterparts using current source inverters, and also overcome shortcomings of current source inverters, such as bulky scale and high cost. Its working principles of DC current driving technology are explained in details. To generate the DC current for induction motor driving, a charge-transferring zero-current switching (CT-ZCS) DC current-output converter and its operating principle are proposed and elucidated, which can be classified as a kind of quasi-resonant converters. Moreover, mathematical model of the CT-ZCS DC current conversion circuit is developed by using symbolic analysis and discrete mapping modeling. Besides, a prototype was built for experimental test. Both simulation and experimental results are given to verify the feasibility of the proposed CT-ZCS DCDC current-output converter for induction motor.
