摘要
•Correctional populations with opioid use disorder (OUD) experience risk for adverse outcomes upon community release.•The socio-ecological model (SEM) is a tool for understanding re-integration experiences among prison populations with OUD.•We applied the SEM to examine community re-integration among former prisonersreceiving opioid agonist treatment (OAT).•Individual, interpersonal, community and organizational/policy level factors influenced re-integration experiences.•An integrated system of care is required to improve community re-integration experiences among this population.
