6.1: Autostereoscopic Display with a Multidirectional Backlight System and an Eye Tracker

We implement a time‐sequential autostereoscopic display with a multidirectional backlight system and an eye tracker. The proposed multidirectional backlight uses Bragg mismatched reconstruction of volume‐holographic optical elements. The eye tracker feeds back eye positions, and the system provides directional and time‐sequential parallax images. Through this display, viewers could observe vivid three‐dimensional images with high resolution, low crosstalk, and smooth motion parallax.
