SnO2/ATP catalyst enabling energy-efficient and green amine-based CO2 capture

摘要
•SnO2 modified attapulgite catalyst was utilized to advance CO2 capture technology.•SnO2/ATP decreased the energy consumption by 52% and presented outstanding recyclability (12 cycles).•The catalytic enhancement effect was verified using FT-IR.•Brønsted and strong acid sites of catalyst played a significant role in accelerating CO2 desorption.•A potential catalytic CO2 desorption mechanism was suggested.
