•The Vtg-Ab gene has 4,539 base pairs (bp) long with 1,512 amino acids residues.•The truncated phosvitin domain contains 16 serines (AGC codon) residues forming the N terminal end.•The domain of the Lipovitellin I presented a conserved RGILN motif.•The three-dimensional (3-D) structure of the Vtg-Ab protein shows the presence of a typical 4α-helices bundle protein.
