摘要
Computational dosimetry is a powerful tool to numerically evaluate the exposure of the human body to electromagnetic (EM) field sources. The use of detailed and realistic 3D body models allows an accurate prediction of the induced EM quantities. The aim of this study is to present an improved model of the female breast that reproduces more realistically the shape and tissue distribution in the female chest area. Such model was combined with the female Virtual Population member, Ella, to evaluate the influence of the breast shape in applications such as a plane-wave exposure. Results suggested that an accurate model of the female body is useful in all numerical studies that aim at precisely estimating the induced E-field.
