摘要
During the pandemic in Slovenia, an open educational platform was set up where teachers could upload their video lectures. This study aims to determine the characteristics of materials on mathematics intended for students in the first five elementary school grades. We examined 210 video lectures and used descriptive and inferential statistics to check for consistency with research findings from the (very sparse) literature. The results show that about half of the video lectures followed the theoretical guidelines. However, producers could improve the video lectures in several ways, including video length, the teacher's positive emotional state, omission of seductive details, first-person perspective recording, and the teacher's guided gaze. The results also show that the video lectures for 4th and 5th grade are better designed in most aspects than those for the first three grades. Some presented guidelines could help teachers prepare materials according to flipped learning principles even in a non-crisis situation (e.g., for sick students, student-athletes). This study has important implications for student learning and the development of e-resources.
