摘要
Cardiac amyloidosis (CA) is a potentially fatal and underrecognized disorder characterized by the deposition of amyloid fibrils in the myocardium.1 Echocardiography is a first-line screening tool for CA, and strain is an important tool in diagnosing and managing CA patients.2,3 Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common sustained arrhythmia in CA and is associated with significant morbidity.4 Improving the detection of AF in this population may improve long-term outcomes. Multiple chambers have a role in the pathophysiology behind AF, and left atrial strain has been shown to predict AF in the general population.
