Rationalising Antipsychotic Prescribing in Dementia (RAPID) complex intervention: A mixed-methods feasibility intervention study

•Antipsychotics are commonly prescribed to nursing home residents with dementia.•Antipsychotics are of limited benefit to this population and can cause harm.•A multi-component, complex intervention was developed and feasibility tested.•The intervention was feasible to conduct and acceptable to stakeholders.•The intervention is worth evaluating in larger studies subject to some amendments.
