Fertility preservation for newly diagnosed cancer patients in west africa - a multi centered overview among related medical specialists in ghana

Advances in medical oncology have improved cancer survival including childhood cancers. Fertility among cancer survivors is a major quality of life concern and potential fertility loss post cancer treatment has significant impact on patients’ psychosocial wellbeing. Availability and client referral for fertility preservation (FP) are key to giving cancer survivors some hope of future biological children. Data is scant on awareness and practice considerations among clinicians in developing countries.
