•A new economic dispatch model for active distribution network considering admissible region of net load is proposed.•New injection shift factors based on a linear power flow expression which considers both voltage magnitude and phase angle is proposed.•The proposed affinely adjustable robust optimization model is recast as a deterministic problem.•The reformulated model can be effectively solved by state-of-art commercial solvers.
