摘要

•New phthalazin-1(2H)-one heterocyclic scaffolds were synthesized and characterized.•The interaction of the newphthalazin-1(2H)-one heterocyclic scaffolds with DNA and plasma proteins was evaluated.•Z-OP and E-OP studies showed selective cytotoxicity against human cancer cells.•ADME attributes and in silico toxicity of Z-OP and E-OP were validated and demonstrated promise.
