摘要

•Reaction between 4-iodobenzoic acid and 17α-ethynylestradiol gave compound 1.•IR bands at 3700–3200 (OH), 2217 (CC) and 1694 (CO) cm−1 support obtaining 1.•Acetylenic derivatives of ethynylestradiol have ADME properties to be oral drugs.•Compound 1 showed higher trypanocidal activity than Benznidazole and Nifurtimox.
