摘要
Mole fraction solubilities have been measured for anthracene, benzoic acid, benzoin, 4- tert -butylbenzoic acid, 1-chloroanthraquinone, 3-chlorobenzoic acid, 4-chlorobenzoic acid, 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid, 3,4-dichlorobenzoic acid, 3,4-dimethoxybenzoic acid, diphenyl sulfone, hippuric acid, 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, 4-methoxybenzoic acid, 2-methylbenoic acid, 3-methylbenzoic acid, 3-nitrobenzoic acid, 4-nitrobenoic acid, salicylamide, trans -stilbene, and thioxanthen-9-one dissolved in neat transcutol at 298.15 K and ambient atmospheric pressure. Results of our experimental measurements, combined with published solubility data for an additional 22 organic compounds taken from the published literature, were used to derive Abraham model correlations for solute transfer into anhydrous transcutol mono-solvent from both water and the gas phase. The derived Abraham model correlations back-calculated the observed experimental data to within approximately 0.16 log 10 units.
