Engineering Frequency Regulation Strategy for PV Inverters in Large-scale Renewable Energy Integrated Power System

Drivenc by the challenges in large-scale renewable energy integrated power system, grid connected PV inverters are required to participate power grid frequency regulation actively, and cooperate with traditional units to improve the level of power grid safety prevention. This paper proposes an engineering frequency regulation strategy for PV inverters in large-scale PV station. The practical engineering approach adopt a distributed frequency regulation control based on the consistency algorithm, so that PV inverters are enabled to have the ability of state perception and actively participates in the frequency regulation of the power grid. The control system contains engineering frequency regulation strategy, output power reserve control and droop control, which provides a reasonable and rapid distribution frequency regulation strategy for PV inverters and support the power grid frequency automatically. Simulation results validate the correctness and feasibility of the control strategy.
