摘要

•Various types of histone modifications were identified in Alexandrium pacificum.•The enrichment of H3K4me2 and H3K27me3 were involved in rapid cell growth.•ApSDGs encoding histone lysine methyltransferase were identified and analyzed.•The expression levels of some ApSDGs were significantly influenced by harmful algal blooms inducing conditions.
