摘要
This is the first study in the setting of peripheral arterial disease to show that acute kidney injury has an adverse effect on cardiovascular mortality, in the long-term, that is dependent on its severity, and present even when the AKI is transient. We have also shown that this difference in cardiovascular mortality becomes more pronounced from the medium-term, and thus closer follow-up of these patients is required.
