摘要

•Sr isotopes are used to trace plant sources in base cations on tundra soils.•Foliar 87/86Sr ratio reflects deeper nutrient uptake in sedge than shrub species.•In all species, the foliar 87Sr/86Sr ratio is less radiogenic upon permafrost thaw.•Upon permafrost thaw, sedges and shrubs benefit from new source in base cations.
