Genesis of the Huanggangliang Fe-Sn polymetallic deposit in the southern Da Hinggan Range, NE China: Constraints from geochronology and cassiterite trace element geochemistry

•The Huanggangliang mineralization may have formed from magmatic-hydrothermal fluids.•U-Pb dating of zircon, cassiterite and garnet provide constraining on the deposit initiations.•The physicochemical conditions of hydrothermal fluids for Huanggangliang deposit cassiterite were constrained.•Cassiterite as a speciation mineral to determine the genesis of tin polymetallic deposits.
