Discovery of novel danshensu derivatives bearing pyrazolone moiety as potential anti-ischemic stroke agents with antioxidant activity

By a dual-antioxidant mechanism of directly scavenging ROS and indirectly activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway, a novel derivative of DSS and pyrazolone moiety, Del03, alleviated middle cerebral artery occlusion in mice to reduce cerebral infarct volume.
