Power Sharing Control and Voltage Restoration in DC Microgrid Using PI Fuzzy

In recent years, energy and environmental pollution problems have become a serious concern around the globe. To overcome the problems, renewable energy resources like wind turbines, PV, hydropower, geothermal and other distributed generation has been developed in many countries. DG will connect with other DG, energy storage, and a load and will form a system known as a microgrid. Since the DC microgrid consists of several devices that have different characteristics, so the system requires accurate integration and control. In this paper, the adaptive SMC with a nonlinear disturbance observer is designed to estimate uncertainty in load and input voltage properly and accurately. In addition, to enhance the performance of the voltage output such as the fast transient response and recovery time due to the disturbance, the structure of the sliding surface controller will be modified. Moreover, in the secondary control level, the Fuzzy Proportional and Integral controller will be proposed for controlling voltage restoration in the DC network and appropriate power sharing among DG. The results show that adaptive PI using fuzzy is better to reduce maximum overshoot than only using PI controller.
