Abstract
In recent years, with spread of smartphones, the amount of mobile data traffic is growing rapidly. To support such traffic, more and more Wi-Fi access points (APs) are deployed and channel assignment is one of the most important technologies to use them efficiently. In traditional works, however, channel bonding technology in recent IEEE802.11 standards is not considered. Moreover, the number of users associated with each AP should be also considered. In addition, for practical use, it should be solved by using small computing resources embedded in standard AP. In this paper, we propose a distributed Wi-Fi channel assignment method with channel bonding considering the number of associated users.
