Disrupted intrinsic functional brain network in patients with late-life depression: Evidence from a multi-site dataset

•Late-life depression (LLD) patients had extensive alterations in the intrinsic brain functional connectivity.•The LLD patients also showed alterations in several global and nodal brain network topological metrics.•Regionally, the default mode and somatomotor areas were particularly affected in LLD patients.•These alterations were correlated with depression severity in the first-episode, drug-naïve patients.
