摘要

•Ten simplex real-time PCRs to detect 10 Shiga toxin subtype genes were developed.•Three multiplex real-time PCR assays were also developed.•The quantitative accuracy and high sensitivity of these assays was confirmed.•These assays will aid laboratory investigations of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli infections or outbreaks.
