Exploring the Effect of Dynamic Lines Navigation Aid on Navigating and Revisiting in a Complex Virtual Environment

An effective navigation tool is critical for an ambiguous virtual environment. We examined a lines navigation aid in a multi-floor environment against a 2D map. Results show that the lines navigation aid outperformed the map in navigation tasks while performing the same in later unassisted revisits.
