Modelling and System Identification of a Nonlinear Microreactor: a Dual Youla Approach

We present a reduced order nonlinear model of a microreactor which is suitable for control. We show that a nonlinear dual Youla structure provides a useful parameterisation that can be identified with data generated in closed loop. We show that the unknown nonlinear system can be represented by a combination of a nominal linear model and a nonlinearity whose identified parameters have a nonlinear ARX (NARX) structure.
