Perovskite catalysts with different dimensionalities for environmental and energy applications: A review

Perovskite materials have become a popular research material in the field of energy and environmental pro-tection due to their adjustable composition and structure, excellent thermal stability, high redox properties and outstanding electronic/optical properties. The morphology of the perovskite material could affect its physical and chemical performance. Therefore, the properties of perovskite materials can be improved by changing their morphology and size. Recently, researchers have applied perovskite materials of different dimensions (quantum dots or nanocrystals (0D), nanorods or nanofibers (1D), nanosheets (2D), or gels or sponges (3D)) to solve environmental and energy problems. The strategies for changing the dimension of material morphology include use different preparation methods or composite with a supporter of different dimensions. At the end of the re-view, the challenges and future development directions of perovskite materials with different dimensions in the field of environment and energy are discussed.
