摘要
Alzheimer' s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder and the main clinical characteristics are memory impairments, the decline in cognitive and motor functions. However, there is no specific drug or physical therapy to treat AD or effectively reverse the course of the disease. In this study, we used ultrasound deep brain stimulation (UDBS) to stimulate the hippocampus and cortex of Alzheimer's disease mice. The effect of ultrasound stimulation was evaluated by behavioral tests and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine staining. The results showed that UDBS improved the cognitive functions and motor ability, and promoted cells proliferation of Alzheimer's disease mice.
