Solid State Transfer Switch (SSTS) can improve the reliability of power supply and mitigate the impact of voltage sags and short-time interruptions by fast and automatic switching of dual or multi-channel power supply. Considering the lack of experimental study on the tolerance characteristics of transient/steady-state power quality of SSTS at home and abroad, the structure and working principle of SSTS is firstly analyzed. Under the condition of only known nameplate parameters such as rated voltage and power of the SSTS selected from a manufacturer, the switching ability and tolerance characteristics of SSTS to different power quality disturbances are tested, and the switching thresholds and switching logic of SSTS for transient and steady-state disturbances are analyzed and summarized.
