3.28 Diverse Experiences During Regulating Together Emotion Dysregulation Treatment
Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry(2022)
摘要
Healthcare disparities exist for minority youth with ASD, particularly in regard to access to intervention. Treatment research in ASD has been limited regarding the contextual disparities of treating minority and lower socioeconomic status (SES) youth. The current study aimed to understand diverse caregiver perspectives about their experiences participating in a treatment program targeting emotion dysregulation, Regulating Together (RT), for youth with ASD aged 8-18 years and their caregivers. We sought to examine the acceptability and cultural sensitivity in the delivery of RT by engaging diverse communities.
