Framework for Abnormal Condition Evaluation Using a Partitioned Immune System

An alternative clustering approach, the partition of the universe approach, has been implemented for use in the generation of an artificial immune system capable of evaluating the impact of abnormal conditions affecting a dynamic system. This immune system is used to establish the general framework for addressing the evaluation phase of the system monitoring and control as a step toward an integrated immunity-based solution to this problem as a whole. The evaluation phase is broken down into the qualitative, direct quantitative, and indirect quantitative evaluation steps, each of which is addressed via the partitioned immune system. The framework is illustrated via sample results when applied to the evaluation of abnormal conditions affecting actuators of an unmanned aerial vehicle.
