We have read with great interest the letter to the editor by Cengiz Beyana and Esin Beyan regarding our manuscript on the practicalities of several pretreatment hematological biomarkers including white blood cell (WBC) count, lymphocyte percentage (LY%), haemoglobin, and mean platelet volume (MPV), as prognostic factors for patients with non-metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma [ [1] Mao J.R.
