摘要
The Gilbert damping of La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_{3}$ epitaxial films was studied as a function of temperature and thickness, and the coexistence of interband and intraband scattering mechanisms is confirmed. The competition between the two mechanisms with entirely distinct thickness and temperature dependences results in a complicated damping behavior of the films. Since the interband scattering is sensitive to the fine electron structure near the Fermi surface, the distortion of the oxygen octahedra controlled by the film thickness is an important factor in the control of the damping. Our study demonstrated that the complicacy of the damping in La$_{0.67}$Sr$_{0.33}$MnO$_{3}$ epitaxial films is a consequence of strong-correlation effects, which is the nature of complex transition metal oxides.
