Planar Waveguide Defect for Photon-Magnon Coupling Improvement

The experimental study and numerical simulation of the strong photon-magnon coupling was carried out for the planar waveguide with the defect, which was used as a planar resonator. The experimental spatial distribution of the magnetic component intensity of the electromagnetic field indicates its considerable increase in the defect due to the novel shape of the defect. The obtained under ferromagnetic resonance conditions transmission coefficient spectra have shown that the maximal value of spin-number-normalized photon-magnon coupling strength g N has reached 0.89 Hz at the frequency of 6.4 GHz. The optimal size of the YIG film that filled the defect had been established.
