In-pipette-tip natural-feather-supported liquid microextraction for conveniently extracting hydrophobic compounds in aqueous samples: A proof-of-concept study

•Natural feathers were employed as the support medium of an oily extraction solvent.•In-pipette-tip extraction device was constructed with the cost less than 0.1 CNY.•Extraction can be conducted by simply drawing solution in/out.•The method is simple, convenient, rapid, green, low-cost, and easy to automate.•Coupled with HPLC-UV, quantification of antidepressants in urines was achieved.
